By using NoteFox (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. The service

NoteFox provides free AI-powered tools for students. The tools generate text based on input you provide, using third-party AI models (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT).

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You will NOT:

• Generate content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or that infringes on others' rights.
• Attempt to abuse rate limits, scrape the site, or extract our prompts.
• Use the Service for academic dishonesty in violation of your institution's honor code.
• Submit personal data of other people without their consent.

3. AI-generated content

The Service generates content using AI. AI output may be inaccurate, biased, or fabricated. You are responsible for reviewing all output before using it. We make no guarantees about accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

4. Academic use

Many schools have policies on AI tool use. It is your responsibility to follow your institution's rules. We do not endorse using our tools to violate any honor code.

5. Content ownership

You own the text you paste in. You also own any output the AI generates from your input — to the extent ownership is possible under your local law (note: AI-generated content has unclear copyright status in many jurisdictions).

6. Free tier limits and Pro tier

Free tier limits (such as 10 requests per day per IP) may change without notice. We may launch a paid Pro tier with higher limits and additional features. The free tier will continue to exist.

7. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but cannot guarantee the Service will always be available, error-free, or secure. Service may be interrupted for maintenance, AI provider outages, or other reasons.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NoteFox shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold NoteFox harmless from any claims arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
